May be the most annoying thing for the surfer happened......Google search results were flagged with a message read as "This site may harm your computer".On clicking the search result we users redirected to www.stopbadware.com
Normally what happens is that Google in association with non-profit organisation called stopbadware.com that maintains list of websites that install malicious program in the background on visiting their site.
Many of the users like me thought that our computer was being hacked......
I tried all combiantions and permutations to cross check this such as Restarting ,switching to other OS etc. but in the end it pointed out to one thing either google was hacked(rare,impossible rather) or there was tecknical problem in google.
"TO ERR IS HUMAN"
What happened actually was that there was mistake in checking the URL's and as a result it included all websites in the list of suspected websites.
but google guys were fast enough to figure it out and fix it.
next time when i switched on and visited it was all gone.....
problem lasted for about 40 mins.
Just imagine we are so dependent on some things on the net that we can't even begin without them.
Who knows tommorow facebook,youtube,orkut,hotmail etc may be down and then we are left with a bunch of electonic stuff .........
anyways , it was mind blowing experience and donot hope to have it again and if isn't so then just for moment ........
